Advent Children - The DVD
The DVD that Advent Children came on had many other bonus features and options. These are all described below. But first, the release dates of the movie. The movie was released on the formats DVD and UMD, but we only cover the release dates for the DVD version. A blu-ray version of the movie is scheduled to be released in the near future.

The DVD was released originally in Japanese, and then translated to English for the international release. Later came Spanish and French language versions of the movie. The PAL version of the movie came with subtitles for a variety of languages from the EU. The running time for the DVD is approximately 1 hour 41 minutes and the aspect ration is 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen. The release of the movie also came with a bonus disk which had a lot of extras.
Disk 1
Disk 1 contains the movie itself, which language depends on the version you bought. But for the EU version you will get subtitles for Arabic, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovene, Swedish and Turkish. I can not say if other versions of the movie come with all these subtitles.
Disk 1 also comes with a feature called "Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII" which is basically a summary of the story of Final Fantasy VII. This is ideal for anyone who has never played the game, so that they will better understand the movie. It is also good for those who have not played the game in years. The feature is basically a video showing scenes throughout the game in chronological order.
Disk 2
Disk 2 is a bonus disk and contained a lot of extras. A lot of which are only available in Japanese, but you are able to put subtitles on for English.
The first feature gives the option to watch scenes that were deleted from the movie before the release. Scenes are usually deleted to improve the movie if the producers feel that the scene is not needed.
The next feature is a lot more interesting, especially if you can understand Japanese. But if not you can turn on some English subtitles. The feature is basically a documentary style video showing the making of the movie. It interviews some of the artists, designers and voice actors.
Another feature included is the video footage that was shown at the Venice Film Festival. It contains a lot of spoilers so I would suggest watching this only after you have seen the movie.
